Chromatographic and spectrophotometric methods for the estimation of mebendazole in pharmaceutical products were developed. The flow injection method was based on oxidation by a known excess sodium hypochlorite at pH=9.5. is then reacted with chloranilic acid (CAA) to bleach out its color. absorbance CAA recorded 530 nm. fast, simple, selective, sensitive. chromatographic carried Varian C18 column. mobile phase mixture acetonitrile (ACN), methanol (MeOH), water triethylamine (TEA), (56% ACN, 20% MeOH, 23.5% H2O, 0.5% TEA, v/v), adjusted pH = 3.0 1.0 M hydrochloric acid. Naphazoline nitrate used as an internal standard. absorption measured using variable wavelength UV detector 290 Linearity obtained concentration range 1-60 0.10-3.0 mg/L HPLC FIA, respectively. applied successfully assay no interferences observed from common excipients usually used. proposed validated their accuracy precision.
